Meet Helen

I’m Helen Gibb, an author and artist based in Hampshire.

I write contemporary women’s fiction about ordinary lives, complicated families, friendship and the small storms we all weather. My debut novel, Between the Rain, is available in paperback and as a Kindle ebook.

I’m also the artist behind HelKat Studio, where I create contemporary digital artwork inspired by colour, light, emotion and the natural world.

Each artwork begins with an idea. Using original photography, careful observation and digital techniques, I develop every piece through composition, colour, texture and painterly refinement.

When I’m not writing or creating artwork, you’ll usually find me walking through the Hampshire countryside with my cockapoo, Teddy, noticing colours and collecting ideas for whatever I decide to make next.
