HEARTBREAK

Heartbreak captures that strange moment when the world carries on around you, even though yours feels as if it has stopped.

Caught in the rain beneath fading golden light, the solitary figure feels vulnerable, lost in thought and completely removed from the movement behind her. The nostalgic varsity jacket and cinematic setting give the piece the feeling of a memory, perhaps of first love, first loss, or simply the first time you discover that some things cannot be fixed.

There is sadness here, but not defeat. She is still standing. The rain will pass.
