IRIE

Irie is a celebration of feeling good in your own skin and at peace with the world around you.

Relaxed, joyful and completely unhurried, the figure sits surrounded by warm earthy colour, lush greenery and the rich red, gold and green tones of Jamaican culture. His broad smile gives the whole piece its spirit. Nothing needs proving. Nothing needs rushing.

“Irie” speaks to a feeling of wellbeing, harmony and everything being alright. This portrait captures exactly that: contentment not as something to chase, but as something to inhabit.
