SOLITUDE

Being alone and being lonely are not the same thing.

Solitude captures a figure withdrawn from the noise around them, wrapped in stillness beneath the theatrical costume. The muted ivory, black and aged gold create a melancholy atmosphere, while the single painted tear leaves the emotion deliberately unresolved.

This is not necessarily sadness. It is retreat. Reflection. The need to disappear from the world for a while and belong only to yourself.

Sometimes solitude is exactly where you need to be.
