Weymouth Calm captures a quieter side of the Dorset coast, where still blue water, simple harbour buildings and a solitary sailing boat create a scene of complete tranquillity.

Broad blocks of turquoise, cream, coral and muted green give the landscape a contemporary feel, while gentle reflections and distant sails add a sense of space and freedom. The simplified forms and soft painterly texture bring a modern interpretation to the traditional seaside view.
